"Begone" is the debut EP for July Churches (Ed Sánchez-Gómez a.k.a Umbra Sum). Although produced during a time of tremendous loss, and in the middle of a pandemic, "Begone" emerges as a danceable celebration of life—of accepting finality as a path to new beginnings.

The album spans multiple genres of dance music, from House to Cumbia, with influences extending to hip hop and electro beats. Although informed by tragic events, the completion of this album is, in a way, a sign of better things to come. As such, "Begone" serves as a soundtrack to dance away the despair of our times.
